The Interior Design Club and Benefits

Interior Design Club: Join now!

Learning doesnt just happen in the class-room. Much can be gained by tapping into the resources provided by the WVCIDC! Your membership with the Club is the perfect opportunity to find or become a mentor, and to mold your experience into what you envision.

As a critical resource for all members, the West Valley College Interior Design Club allows you access to program and industry information, provides opportunities to interact and network with other students, professionals, and the community at large, enhances the learning experience, and offers additional education opportunities.

The Design Library

This resource is entirely funded and maintained by the Interior Design Club, the Library provides both samples and literature of finishes and furnishings to fulfill project requirements. Students are to clean up after themselves each time they use the Library. The Library guidelines can be found in the library section of the web site and posted in the Library.

Club Activities

The WVCIDC activities folks work hard to produce events and seminars relevant to you! Email notifications are sent directly to Club members. Weekly emails are sent to Class Reps who make announcements classes.


  1. The WVCIDC Forum offers all hot topics related to interior design.
    • Students can post questions at any time of the day or night.
    • Instructors can respond to questions publicly so that other students will see the answer.
    • Email the forum administrator with questions about using the WVCIDC Forum.
    • After you have registered for the WVCIDC Forum, please be sure to go back in and change your user name to your real name. The agreement states "In registering you will choose your username. By default, your username will appear as your screen name. Once registered, log in, go to "PROFILE" and change your "name" to your real name. This is meant to be an extension of the classroom experience and anonymity is not appropriate."
    • Use it! The Forum is most useful when students and instructors use it.
    • Check out the "View the 10 most recent posts of this forum." feature - a quick way to catch up on new posts. It's in the "Info Center" box on the bottom of the page of forums.
  2. Select Resources and you will find a list of ID classes and their requirements (prereqs, books, supplies); instructors, their contact info and office hours; information on the ID Library and contact information for tutoring.
