Design assistant / internship opportunity

Kirsten Flynn, a Palo Alto based designer, is looking for an assistant to work 8-12 hours a week, flexible schedule.  The candidate is someone who truly would like to partner with Kirsten to bring the highest level of satisfaction, design excellence and customer service to her residential clients.

The ideal candidate would be:
A good hand, or CAD drafter.
highly organized
interested in healthy and sustainable design
passionate about residential design

Interested in historical architectural detail.
Entrepreneurial, this is a micro business, and not everyone works well in the changeable environment of a tiny business.
Willing to work at a home office.
Some bookkeeping experience would be helpful.

You want to learn more about the environmental and health effects of interior design
You love listening to clients, and want to make their lives more beautiful
You love helping an office maintain organization

You need a flexible schedule.

You want to know exactly what to expect each day.
You cannot tolerate chaos.
You would be uncomfortable working in my home.

You need a boss that has all the answers.

As you might have guessed, this position cannot offer a lot of predictability, however there is plenty of design work.  The right candidate would learn a lot about small business management, and client work.
