How can you become involved with the club?

  • During any given academic year, there are plenty of opportunities for volunteering. The Interior Design Club, as well as each organization (ASID, IIDA, and NKBA student chapters) hold events on campus to further your journey in the interior design program. Additionally, each professional organization regularly holds professional events that students are nearly always invited to. There are a wide variety of possibilities available, from helping to set up an event on the day of, supporting competitions, to helping to plan and watching it execute. Further, you are always working with a team of wonderful people who care about the same things you do, and together these events become successful.

  • The Interior Design Club has board positions available every year. The commitment is for one year, and the transitory nature of these positions means that they tend to open up after a full year, although some people choose to stay longer. However, just because a position is filled does not mean that additional help would not be welcome. Occasionally, these positions need a co-chair, someone to help lighten the load a bit. More on board positions.

  • Other opportunities can come int he form of joining a sub committee. There is no time commitment. If you volunteer to help with a specific event, we simply ask that you stick it out until your portion of the job is completed. If you are considering joining the board, but are unable to now, consider being part of a sub committee. Contact us to let us know how you’d like to be involved.
